Serving the Community
Women in Tourism run monthly raffles at the networking breakfasts with proceeds donated to our nominated charities. Through World Vision, Women in Tourism also sponsor a child. Women in Tourism have in the past and will continue to support OzCare (Majella House), The Tweed Shire Womens Service, McLeods Accommodation Services, Rosies, and of course the Queensland Cancer Council (via our annual Breast Cancer fundraiser in October). Women in Tourism also donate where we can to any disaster fund that may arise during the course of the year. This year is to the Flood Appeal for Queensland and the Fire Appeal in Victoria. With many charities needing support, when you attend a breakfast meeting with Women in Tourism and buy a Raffle Ticket, you are helping us to help others.

We have been sponsoring a child, Mohamed Khan Arbaz, in India since 2001.
Arbaz was born in 1996 and his favourite subject is Science and he loves to play cricket. He lives in rural India, near Mumbai. His family lives in a 1 room hut and whilst his father is employed, he earns so little that it is not enough to meet their needs. He has two brothers and one sister.
We receive regular updates and photos of Arbaz and thank you for your continued support of WIT which enables us to sponsor him.
