SuperGP still on track to rev up economy

Gold Coast, August 25, 2009 – Get all the latest updates on this new era of motorsport for the Gold Coast from SuperGP event partner, IMG. Hear Paul Pamenter, Sales and Marketing Manager with IMG speak about the impact the SuperGP will have on the tourism industry, and how the event will overtake Indy with a larger fan base, and a cash injection of more than $60M.
The Gold Coast’s newest sporting event is a combination of A1GP and Australia’s own V8 Super Cars. Women in Tourism are excited to offer you the opportunity to hear all the details and ‘behind the scenes’ information on this world- class racing event which is set to give a much needed boost to the industry.
Paul Pamenter is experienced in the commercial procurement of sponsors for some of Australia’s premier events including the Australian Masters, Australian Open Tennis and Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.
“We are delighted to have Mr Pamenter speaking at our September breakfast to report on the impact this event will have on the local economy in comparison to previous years.” said Lisa Sommerville, President of Women In Tourism.
“With a wider fan base and larger international television exposure than ever before, we are excited to hear how the SuperGP has been marketed to maximise inbound tourism to the local area” she said.
